Our President
Janet Steiner has been President and CEO of Thoro Packaging since 1982 when her father stepped down as President because of failing health. Held in high regard as a leader in the paperboard packaging industry, Jan is at the helm of one of the most innovative folding carton companies today. As a result of her enthusiasm, creativity and "Can Do" attitude, Janet Steiner was the recipient of the Business Woman of the Year award in 2006 from the National Association of Women Business Owners - Inland Empire and the 2009 Legacy Award Winner. Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail." Janet Steiner rarely takes the path. As a woman president in a predominantly male industry, she has spent the past 25 years leaving many a trail.
Her favorite saying is, “If you don’t make dust, you eat dust.” Janet Steiner is here today, once again, making dust.
