Thoro Packaging is a Qualified G7 Master Printer

CORONA, CA (January 2011) __ Thoro Packaging, a Southern California based folding carton manufacturer, has achieved G7™ Master Qualification. The qualification mark means that Thoro Packaging uses the most modern technology, techniques, proofing and printing process controls and standards required to produce high-quality printed folding carton packaging. G7 standards require that the qualified printer is able to consistently produce a close visual match from proof to print. Thoro Packaging will complete a yearly re-certification by the International Digital Enterprise Alliance (IDEAlliance®) to assure we maintain IDEAlliance calibration, processes and our Master Printer status.

For Packaging Buyers and Creatives, G7 is about getting predictable quality and color results. Very simply, we believe that our customers should be able to count on their proof to match what the designer sees on a calibrated monitor, and then the printed product should match the approved proof—always!

As part of our color match commitment to our customers and the G7 qualification process, Thoro teamed up with Sun Chemical and GFI Innovations in order to offer the best technology available for producing Pantone® and custom ink colors. Thoro purchased two Mx-12 GFI Dispensing Systems, giving our production team the ability to quickly and accurately produce any Conventional or Energy Curable (UV) ink color. Your custom formulas can be created by our in-house ink technician and saved by the system for repeat work; and the capability to produce the precise quantity needed for a job reduces ink waste by nearly 30%, further enhancing Thoro's strong Green initiatives. Thoro Packaging is the first West Coast folding carton manufacturer to offer this new GFI Mx-12 dispensing technology from Sun Chemical.
