Sylvia started with Thoro Packaging 18 years ago as a packer in our Finishing Department. In her time with Thoro, Sylvia has worked as a Printing Technician, Quality Tech and Assistant to the Quality Manager, Customer Service Rep and now Inside Sales for some of Thoro’s largest medical/pharmaceutical accounts. With Sylvia’s vast knowledge of printing, production needs, quality process, and Thoro’s workflow, she is an invaluable resource to her corporate customers. Sylvia regularly assists her customers in meeting the numerous quality packaging and security standards required in the medical industry.
Sylvia takes pride in her ability to “ease the pain” of her customers by closely managing their inventory on line. For new products and package redesign, Sylvia works closely with her customers’ structural designers and the Thoro Design Team to develop great medical packaging.
A few years ago, Sylvia helped kick off Thoro’s Wellness Program. The new program was a success; Thoro participants in the first campaign lost a combined 150 lbs. This inspired Sylvia to be more active in her own life. Today Sylvia regularly attends the KO Fitness Center boxing classes six days a week and personal training twice a week. When she is not fighting her way to fitness, Sylvia loves spending time with her four grown Daughters and one Precious Granddaughter—who calls her G’ma.
